What you need to know is that LV'57DIAMONDS does not accept to copy jewellery models of other brands.

ARE LV'57DIAMONDS JEWELS ALLOYED WITH OTHER METALS?

When it comes to making precious jewellery , metals such as gold, platinum or palladium are rarely used in their purest form. To give them strength and enhance their colour, they must be alloyed with a range of metals.each piece of jewellery is alloyed according to the correct metal purity standard, our gold, platinum jewellery is independently tested and marked before being sold.

LV'57DIAMONDS is registered at the testing offices ensuring that all our jewels comply with the marking regulations of the European Union, before being sent to our customers each piece of jewellery is sent to the marking office to be checked and stamped with the respective sample which is indicated in the registration certificate.

All our jewellery is marked with the following hallmarks for each metal:
Gold (Rose, White and Yellow) – 750
Platinum - 950

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PLATINUM AND WHITE GOLD?

In terms of colour, white gold and platinum are virtually identical and both are intensely luminous. So what makes them so different? The answer lies in their composition. Gold is naturally yellow in colour. To achieve that white gold sheen, gold must be alloyed with other metals such as silver, zinc or nickel and then coated with a rare metal called rhodium. Platinum, on the other hand, is naturally white and does not need to be coated with any metal. In terms of price, white gold is lighter than platinum and therefore more affordable.

Both rings are durable, with platinum being slightly stronger and less likely to bend. Over time, you may need to reinstall a white gold ring as the rhodium plating can wear away. A platinum ring will sometimes need to be polished to remove any surface imperfections (known as 'patina').

Ultimately, both white gold and platinum are excellent metals and there is no wrong choice in buying. To know which one to choose, it's best to understand what's more important to you: is it affordability, durability, or perhaps the amount of aftercare involved.

WHY DO WE ONLY WORK WITH 18K GOLD?

All our jewellery is available in 18k white, rose and yellow gold, 950,900 or 850 Pt platinum for wedding rings. We want to offer our customers the highest quality possible whilst ensuring our jewellery is durable enough to be cherished for years. 14k or 10k gold jewellery has a lower percentage of pure gold and therefore a weaker colour. On the other hand, 24k may be purer and more vibrant, but it's naturally malleable and therefore prone to bangs and banging. This is why we prefer our jewellery to be 18k gold, for the perfect measure of colour, quality and durability.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I ORDER THE WRONG RING SIZE?

Not to worry! Ring size can be tricky, especially if you are planning a surprise proposal. This is why your first resize is always free of charge if you return your ring within 30 days. Resizing takes approximately 15-20 working days from the day we receive your item.

Please note that certain designs, such as full-set diamond eternity rings, cannot be resized and will need to be exchanged or re-made.

Payment & Prices

WHY IS THERE A PRICE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ALMOST IDENTICAL DIAMONDS?

You may have noticed that two identical diamonds can sometimes have quite a significant price difference. This may seem confusing, but this has nothing to do with the quality of the diamonds. To protect you a wide range of diamonds we procure from different suppliers who sell at different prices from each other.

If, however, you notice a large price difference between two diamonds that are roughly the same quality, it is best to check the certificates of both diamonds. Certain grading laboratories are more reliable and therefore the price of their diamonds is higher.

WHY DO PRICES INCREASE WITH LARGER RING SIZES?

Above size N, you may see a slight increase in the price of your ring. This cost covers the extra metal that is added and any additional accent diamonds set into the band.
